Framed (I guess)

I have to say that this challenge of taking a picture each day is proving to be a little above and beyond my creative genius (or lack there of). I truly struggle to think of something or become inspired by something every day. My creative side is definitely lacking. Perhaps I need a special IEP or modified list for the creatively deficient. A good list for me may be: 1. something red, 2. animal, 3. something square, etc. And, if necessary, I'll ride the short bus.
So anyway, again I ramble on and on and on. We have about a million pictures framed in our house. Most from different trips that we have taken and of the boys. These are the pictures that change with each passing year. I get the boys' pictures taken by themselves one time each year. Alex and Andy have pictures taken at school and I take the little guys to Target. Perhaps you notice that Alex's school picture is not hanging here. That is because the school photographer this year was appartently a little tipsy and unsteady on his feet when photographing Alex's class. Alex's school picture was almost diagonal he was so crooked. I had it hanging for a few months until Alex finally said, "please change that, I look weird." So, we replaced his school picture with one of his black belt pictures. When he got his black belt last August I took him to Target for pictures to comemorate the big event and they did a great job! The picture hanging here has him standing with all of his color belts draped around his neck. It's really cool.
Perhaps tomorrow will be a little bit easier. One can only hope.

Oh, we've had our share of bad school photos. I know what you mean about struggling every day to find a good pic to take for each thing. In some ways though, it's a blessing. I have to try to recognize something I may have otherwise overlooked. At least that's what I try to think as I'm scrambling and running around saying "WHAT the HECK am I supposed to POST FOR THAT???" hehehe

Your list rocks! Maybe we should get together and come up with the next list ourselves - we could make a way cool one that requires little to no thought!

I hope you don't mind, but when my boys get their black belts I'm totally copying your photo idea:)

Absolutely! I think we should all get our pictures taken in our black belts to. That would be great! We'll make LL an honorary black belt for the day so we can all be in the picture. When will Wendi get hers?

I love that pic of Alex with his belts - how clever! See, you were totally on top of that! No short bus for you, missy!!!

I went to TKD this morning and asked Princess what the word of the day was and she told me. Everybody wanted to know what that meant, why, bla bla bla. We told them to see Capt'n Tightpants.com. No, we didn't. We just said, it's the word of the day, of course. Like it's in the stars or something. :) So, yes, this list is a bit odd. I didn't make it up - promise!

Let's make a up a new one next time with short bus material.

And I get my BB in 2017 or so. I dunno, I've never counted that high.

I love the picture of the belts for Alex! Soooooo cool!

We should do something like that or have our group do a pose. I can't wait for the "thank you" opportunity to get the mic. I'm going to pull out a roll of paper and let it hit the floor! (kidding!) :)

Well, asuming (is that spelled right? It doesn't look it...) I manage to break my boards at the next two testings, you and I will get our belts at the same testing (January-yeah!) You'll have to fight me for the mic. I'm already working on the rough draft of my lengthy speech. As long as Tami has gong duty it'll be a great celebration.

I will gong beautifully for you guys!

Kim - can't wait! We have the pic on our fridge of me and you in white belts! What a time to get our black belts!

We will get those boards broken! You have to believe! We will get it done.

Gongs or not - we'll get it done!

You both will do great. It'll be to have more adult black belts in our school.

Maybe the pic could be you all tying me up with your black belts...???

Or beating me up...

We could probably stage a pretty funny picture either way! :)
